When the mouse is left-handed but the cursor still feels right-handed
Many left-handed users buy a comfortable mouse, but the default macOS arrow keeps its right-handed angle. That can stand out during precise clicks and long sessions.
If you are left-handed, even a good left-handed mouse does not change the shape of the macOS or Windows system arrow. LeftyCursor complements left-handed mouse setup by mirroring the pointer so it points in a more familiar direction for left-handed work.
macOS installation
This is the standard procedure for apps downloaded outside the App Store. You only need to allow the downloaded LeftyCursor installer manually once.
Click Download, open the LeftyCursor Installer.pkg file, and wait for the macOS warning.
If macOS says the file was not opened, click Done instead of Move to Trash.
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway next to the installer.
Click Allow in the system dialog, then click Continue in the installer and follow the normal installation steps.

LeftyCursor is not just a new color or a decorative cursor pack. It mirrors the system arrow so the pointer direction feels better for the left hand.
To avoid typing mistakes, you can enable a small layout hint directly on the cursor.
When it helps
LeftyCursor helps when the standard arrow keeps looking angled the wrong way, even with a left-handed, vertical, gaming, or wireless mouse.
In browsers, Finder, editors, and system windows, the mirrored pointer looks closer to how a left-handed user moves across the screen.
On dense interfaces, tabs, buttons, and small controls, the mirrored arrow feels calmer and less like it is coming from the wrong hand.
If you work on a Mac for hours, a small cursor discomfort adds up. A left-handed pointer removes that constant distraction.
The marker is useful if you often switch languages and want to see EN or RU right next to the arrow.
Left-handed mouse
If you are choosing a left-handed mouse or already use one, macOS comfort depends on more than buttons: pointer direction matters too.
Check the primary button, secondary click, pointer speed, and tracking. LeftyCursor adds what macOS does not expose: a mirrored system arrow.
A vertical mouse changes wrist posture, but the on-screen pointer stays the same. A mirrored arrow makes the visual side of work closer to the left hand.
A gaming mouse adds buttons and sensors, and a wireless mouse frees your desk. LeftyCursor does not replace hardware; it makes the pointer itself feel better on macOS.
Check grip, body symmetry, side-button placement, and support for your system. The cursor direction can then be adapted in software.
Windows version
Windows uses a separate LeftyCursorWin build. It works with Windows system cursors, mirrors the arrow for the left hand, and can add an EN/RU badge without a separate lagging overlay.
The Windows version works with system cursor slots: arrow, hand, text pointer, and other standard pointer modes.
The EN/RU marker is drawn inside the cursor image itself, so it does not need a separate transparent layer that trails behind the pointer.
If you use a left-handed, gaming, wireless, or vertical mouse on Windows, a mirrored pointer makes the on-screen part feel more natural.
The download buttons on this page still point to the macOS installer. Message us on Telegram to get the Windows build.

How it works
On Mac, the app lives in the menu bar. The Windows build lives in the system tray. No separate work window is needed.
The app mirrors the system pointer, making the angle more comfortable for left-handed users.
The EN/RU marker can be enabled separately to make fewer mistakes at the start of text input.
You can turn off the left-handed mode and go back to the standard macOS or Windows system cursor at any time.
